Workshop stores tires - and disappears into oblivion

A woman has reported the owner of a car repair shop in Neu-Ulm for misappropriating her winter tires. As the police reported on Friday, her tires had been stored at the business in the spring. When the woman wanted to have them fitted again, the garage no longer existed. The 59-year-old was also unable to get hold of the former owner. On Thursday, she reported the embezzlement of the winter tires to the police.

Criminal proceedings were initiated against the former workshop owner. According to the statement, several similar cases have already been reported to the Neu-Ulm police station.

The investigation into the missing tires has unearthed potential connections to other car-related crimes in Swabia. Despite the disappearance of the car repair shop, curious onlookers have been sharing stories of similar incidents involving stolen or misplaced vehicles in the area.
