Accidents - Workers suffer smoke inhalation in workshop hall
Three men have suffered smoke inhalation in a workshop in Schliengen (Lörrach district). The police announced on Tuesday that the measuring devices of the arriving emergency services had been triggered by an increased concentration of carbon monoxide in the hall. It was initially unclear how this happened. This is the subject of the investigation, they said. One of the three workers collapsed unconscious on Friday, another then called the emergency services. All three were taken to hospital.
An apartment building in Esslingen was also evacuated on Monday because carbon monoxide had leaked from a gas tiled stove in an apartment. Two residents were taken to hospital for examination. The others were later allowed back into the building.
