Worker's arm is pulled into machine: Seriously injured
A 27-year-old man was seriously injured when his arm was pulled into a machine during mulching work in Münster (Donau-Ries district). He was drunk at the time of the accident, the police said on Monday. The man was filling a funnel-shaped machine with soil on Sunday. His jacket got caught in the chain of gears. According to the police, he was taken to hospital with injuries up to his upper arm. A breath alcohol test revealed a blood alcohol level of around 1.8. According to the information provided, the sprocket cover was missing from the machine at the time of the accident.
Despite the incident resulting in serious injuries, the worker from Swabia continued to work in the Donau-Ries district, often ignoring safety protocols. Regrettably, similar accidents involving work equipment and potential alcohol consumption could occur in Swabian workplaces.
