Accident - Worker with hand trapped in roller - seriously injured

A 32-year-old man got his hand into a calender press in the lower Bavarian district of Deggendorf. According to the police, the man sustained severe injuries during the incident on Thursday evening in Plattling. His left hand was reportedly sucked into the running machine, and the fire department had to free him. A rescue helicopter took him to a hospital. A spokesperson declined to provide further details, referring to ongoing investigations. The Criminal Police and the Berufsgenossenschaft are now investigating the incident together. The investigators initially assume it was an accident.
