Accidents - Worker suffers chemical burn at BASF
At maintenance works at BASF Chemicals, an employee of an external company named Vera€ß suffered injuries. The accident occurred on a Wednesday morning in the Werksteil Süde production site, the Ludwigshafen company announced. The injuries were caused by contact with a small amount of the toxic substance Para-Cresol.
A BASF on-site doctor first provided first aid to the man, who was then taken to a clinic and admitted for stationary treatment.
