Crime - Woman's body discovered in barrel: Witnesses wanted
Following the discovery of a woman's body in a barrel on a balcony in Düsseldorf, police in the Hanover area are looking for possible witnesses. The 58-year-old suspected owner of the apartment has connections to the Hanover region, among other things, which is why the public is being asked for help in the manhunt, the police and public prosecutor's office announced on Thursday. There had previously been talk of the man having contacts in the Schaumburg district. According to the information, there is a warrant for the 58-year-old's arrest, his whereabouts were initially unknown.
The dead woman, a 36-year-old Bulgarian woman, was discovered on December 5 during a routine police operation for trespassing in the apartment building - in a locked barrel on the suspect's balcony. The 58-year-old is wanted for a suspected homicide.
