Police search - Woman's body discovered in barrel: manhunt in Lower Saxony

Following the discovery of a woman's body in a barrel on a balcony in Düsseldorf, police in Lower Saxony are also publicly searching for the suspected owner of the apartment. The 58-year-old Ralf S. has links to the district of Schaumburg, the police announced on Wednesday evening. The investigators asked the public for help in the search for the suspect.

The dead woman, a 36-year-old Bulgarian woman, was discovered in the barrel on the balcony on December 5 during a routine police operation. The 58-year-old man is suspected of having killed her. An arrest warrant has been issued for the man, his whereabouts are currently unknown.
