Crime - Woman throws knife out of window and almost hits policeman
In Berlin-Friedrichshain, a woman threw a knife from a third-floor balcony and nearly hit the response forces of the police. A 71-year-old man had called the police the previous day because the 32-year-old woman had allegedly assaulted him. According to a police spokesperson, the two were reportedly known to each other. The man remained unharmed.
After the woman threw the knife, additional response forces were called for support and the sidewalk and street below the balcony were blocked off. Shortly thereafter, the woman was arrested peacefully in her apartment. Due to her psychological condition, the 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital and admitted to a psychiatric ward. An investigation is now being conducted against her for assault causing bodily harm and assaulting on-duty officers.
Stone thrown at ambulance
On the way to the hospital, an unknown person threw a stone at the ambulance in the area of a crossing, damaging the windshield. No one was injured. The ambulance was able to continue its journey according to the police. An investigation is now being conducted for dangerous interference in road traffic.
The operational force expressed their concern about potential retaliation after the woman's arrest, given the past incidents between her and the response forces. In the same precinct of Berlin, another instance of crime occurred when an operational unit was on route, this time a stone was thrown at their ambulance.
