Ulm - Woman threatens bus driver with knife

A woman threatened a bus driver in Ulm with a box cutter and then had to be subdued by the police with the help of pepper spray. The 62-year-old woman wanted to get off at a bus stop, but the driver had not noticed, a police spokesman said on Friday. The woman pulled out the knife, insulted the driver and hammered at the driver's cab. Several police officers stopped the bus. The 61-year-old driver and two other passengers were able to leave the bus. The woman also left the bus, but did not want to hand over the knife. That is why pepper spray was used, it is said. The woman was eventually overpowered. According to the police, the woman was confused and was taken to a psychiatric hospital on Thursday following medical treatment and police measures.
