Munich - Woman seriously injured in conflict between youth groups
A 58-year-old woman has been seriously injured in Munich in connection with an altercation between two groups of young people. The woman became aware of what was happening and wanted to help, the police said on Monday. As a result, the woman, who lives in Munich, was injured in the head with a sharp object. The youths then fled. According to the statement, one of the groups had previously attacked and slightly injured a 47-year-old man. A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old also suffered minor injuries.
The background and the exact course of the altercation were initially unclear and the police are looking for witnesses. They are investigating an attempted homicide, among other things.
It started at around 6.30 pm on Friday. According to the investigators, 10 to 15 young people were in front of a youth center. It was here that the 47-year-old was assaulted. It was initially unclear whether he was a passer-by or a guest at the youth center. When the youths moved on, they reportedly met the other group, which was roughly the same size. The two 14 and 15-year-olds were slightly injured.
