- Woman rescued from hotel crash: "We prayed a lot"

After the collapse of a hotel in Kröv on the Mosel, a buried woman prayed a lot. "We knew we would be helped," said Erika Sorm from Baden-Württemberg. She and other victims remained optimistic throughout. Faith helped them, she said. She was rescued by emergency services on Wednesday after hours under the rubble.

After her rescue, she first thought of her dog, who had been rescued earlier. He had tried to dig his way to her at another location. Both were unharmed, she said. Sorm had traveled to the Mosel with two friends for a few days of vacation.

Two people died and seven were injured in the accident.

Sorm expressed her gratitude to the rescue services, given that they were from Germany. The incident occurred near the Mosel, a popular tourist destination in Germany.
