Emergency - Woman presses emergency call and locks three people in elevator
Three people have been trapped in an elevator at a Munich S-Bahn station after an unknown woman pressed the emergency call button from outside. The woman may have wanted to press the call button underneath, as a federal police spokeswoman suspected on Tuesday. Instead, she smashed the window of the emergency call and triggered it. She then disappeared with her disabled companion. Two adults and a child were locked in the elevator on Monday. They had to wait in the elevator for around three quarters of an hour - only then were they freed by the fire department.
The federal police are now investigating damage to property and misuse of emergency calls. The investigators were unable to say anything about the age or gender of those involved.
