A 34-year-old man is suspected of attacking and injuring his former girlfriend in Lower Bavaria. At the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Passau, an arrest warrant has been issued against the man on suspicion of attempted murder. Investigations, particularly into the motive, are ongoing, as reported by the police.

According to current findings, the man ambushed the 33-year-old outside her apartment in Pocking (district of Passau) and attacked her with a sharp object. The woman sustained an injury to her upper arm. Moreover, the man is said to have threatened to kill her. The 33-year-old managed to take refuge in her apartment.

Several police units were dispatched to the multi-family dwelling late on Tuesday evening due to the incident, it was reported. The woman was taken to a hospital. The police later arrested the suspect in the nearby town of Fürstenzell, approximately 20 kilometers away, in a shared accommodation.

The suspect hails from the region of Bavaria, specifically. After the incident, the police conducted their investigation in various parts of Bavaria, including Fürstenzell.
