Woman hits member of parliament's car with hammer
There was an incident with a woman outside the state parliament during the session on Thursday. The obviously mentally disturbed person approached him, CDU MP Lukas Kilian told the German Press Agency. Because he did not understand her request, he sat down in his official car. The woman followed him, first ripped open the driver's door and then smashed the windshield of the car with a hammer. She then shouted "Minister, Minister".
"Nobody was injured," said Kilian. He was fine. The incident had only resulted in material damage.
A state parliament spokesperson spoke of a security-related incident on the forecourt in front of the state parliament building. "The police were able to take a suspect into custody," said the spokesperson. On this occasion, the state parliament administration is currently reviewing the existing security precautions for access to the state parliament building.
The incident involving the woman and the MP took place at the state parliament, where she targeted his car with a hammer due to some unclear reasons related to her request. Authorities later apprehended the suspect due to this crime against the parliament member's vehicle.
