A woman was found dead and recovered while extinguishing a fire in a detached house in Worpswede (Osterholz district) on Wednesday night. The identity has not yet been fully clarified, the police announced on Wednesday. However, it is suspected that it is the occupant of the house.

A woman was found dead and recovered while extinguishing a fire in a detached house in Worpswede (Osterholz district) on Wednesday night. The identity has not yet been fully clarified, the police announced on Wednesday. However, it is suspected that it is the occupant of the house.

According to the police, the fire broke out on Tuesday evening and was extinguished during the night. However, it flared up again in the early morning and the emergency services had difficulty gaining access to the house. It was completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire was initially unclear. The police estimate the damage to be around 250,000 euros. Other media had previously reported on this.
