According to a police spokesperson, a 29-year-old driver had driven into oncoming traffic on a country road just before the Lichtenfels district of Goddelsheim for an initially unknown reason. His car collided head-on with the oncoming car of the 54-year-old woman. The woman was trapped in her vehicle in the accident. According to the police spokesperson, resuscitation was unsuccessful and the woman succumbed to her serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
