Fatal head injury - Woman dies after bicycle accident
A man and a woman were involved in a collision with their bicycles in Offenburg (Ortenaukreis), resulting in the woman sustaining fatal head injuries. The 23-year-old woman died in the hospital a few days later, according to a police spokesperson.
They had been riding next to each other on a bike path when the accident occurred. For unknown reasons, their wheels came into contact laterally. Both fell off their bikes. The man suffered minor injuries in the fall.
According to current knowledge, neither the man nor the woman were wearing helmets during the accident, which took place at night on Saturday. The police did not make any statements regarding the relationship between the man and the woman.
