A man allegedly shot at a pedestrian with a weapon from a moving car in Lower Franconia. Later, police found a toy gun on the suspect.

A 34-year-old woman felt threatened by a man with a pistol and called the police. She was walking with her child in Glattbach (Aschaffenburg district) when the unknown man pointed what appeared to be a real gun at her from a passing car, the police reported. Several patrol cars then searched for the suspect.

About an hour later, police found the vehicle outside a residential building and arrested a 21-year-old man. It turned out that the supposed weapon was an innocuous toy. The 21-year-old was released.

A criminal investigation has been initiated against him for suspected intimidation. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. So far, it appears that there was no prior relationship between the woman and the man.
