Football being played. Games occurring. - Wolfsburg secure signing of Schalke's goalkeeper Müller.

German football club VfL Wolfsburg has welcomed goalkeeper Marius Müller from Schalke 04. The 30-year-old keeper put pen to paper on a three-year contract with his new team, as announced by both clubs on Tuesday.

Müller says that he doesn't view his chance to play at this level again at his age as a foregone conclusion. "I've always dreamed of playing in the Bundesliga, and I'm taking a step closer to that now," he said.

While Müller joins Wolfsburg as a second-choice goalkeeper, the club had already secured Polish national keeper Kamil Grabara from FC Copenhagen. Long-serving starting keeper Koen Casteels will be leaving Wolfsburg after nine years and is expected to move to Saudi Arabia. Schalke, on the other hand, have found a replacement for Müller: Ron-Thorben Hoffmann joined from second-division team Eintracht Braunschweig last week.
