Özcan, a 26-year-old midfielder, aligns with Wolfsburg's search for a defensive midfielder and has been relegated to a supporting role at Dortmund.
Wolfsburg might experience a shake-up by late Friday evening. French defender Maxence Lacroix is attracting interest from Crystal Palace, a Premier League club. Should Lacroix make the move to the English top-tier, Wolfsburg would look to reinforce their defensive unit with another player. For some time now, Frenchman Ismael Doukouré of Racing Strasbourg has been the top candidate for this vacancy.
