Wolfsburg intends to acquire Özcan from Dortmund.

- Wolfsburg intends to acquire Özcan from Dortmund.

The German Bundesliga team, VfL Wolfsburg, is allegedly planning to secure the services of Turkish international Salih Özcan from Borussia Dortmund before the transfer deadline closes on Friday. Both "Kicker" and the "Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung" have reported this development without contradiction. Özcan, a 26-year-old midfielder, aligns with Wolfsburg's search for a defensive midfielder and has been relegated to a supporting role at Dortmund.

Wolfsburg might experience a shake-up by late Friday evening. French defender Maxence Lacroix is attracting interest from Crystal Palace, a Premier League club. Should Lacroix make the move to the English top-tier, Wolfsburg would look to reinforce their defensive unit with another player. For some time now, Frenchman Ismael Doukouré of Racing Strasbourg has been the top candidate for this vacancy.

VfL Wolfsburg, being based in Germany, is hoping to strengthen their squad by acquiring Salih Özcan, a Turkish international currently playing for another German club, Borussia Dortmund. If Maxence Lacroix, a French defender from Wolfsburg, joins Crystal Palace, a Premier League club, Wolfsburg might consider signing Ismael Doukouré from Racing Strasbourg in France to replace him.
