Wolf pair in Segeberger Forst with at least five pups
The pair of wolves living in Segeberger Forst have raised at least five pups this year. This is according to wolf monitoring data, as announced by the Ministry of the Environment on Wednesday. The evaluation of photo traps had already revealed in July that at least two wolf pups had been born at the beginning of May. One cub was so badly injured in a car accident in October that a hunter had to kill it. The wolf pack in Segeberger Forst therefore probably currently comprises at least six animals.
The success of nature conservation efforts in Segeberger Forst is evident with the thriving wolf population, which includes at least six animals and five pups. Protecting the environment and its wildlife, such as the wolves, is essential for maintaining a healthy and balanced ecosystem.
