Soccer Bundesliga - Wohlgemuth confirmed: Guirassy and Anton leave VfB

Football club VfB Stuttgart's Sportboard Fabian Wohlgemuth has confirmed the ongoing rumors about the departure of performance players Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton from the club. "Both have informed us that they will leave the team," said the 45-year-old at the training camp of the Bundesliga team.

Both striker Guirassy and defender Anton are reportedly being courted by Borussia Dortmund. Both professionals have buyout clauses in their contracts with VfB, but Wohlgemuth stated that these have not been triggered yet. He can therefore currently "not say anything about where the way with a high probability will lead," explained Stuttgart's Sportchef. "We can only comment on it when the status is clear."

According to media reports, Ermedin Demirovic from FC Augsburg is being considered as a potential replacement for Guirassy. "He had a good season and knows how the league works," said Wohlgemuth about the 26-year-old, who scored 15 league goals for the Fuggerstadters last season. "Whether he is interesting for us, we are still checking financially."

In addition to the four German EM participants Anton, Maximilian Mittelstadt, Chris Führich and Deniz Undav, who were absent at the training start of the vice champions, were also missing goalkeeper Alexander Nübel and Guirassy, who are still on vacation. Also absent was Enzo Millot, who was nominated for the French Olympic team.

However, seven new signings were present: Jeff Chabot, Justin Diehl (both from 1. FC Cologne), Nick Woltemade (Werder Bremen), Yannik Keitel (SC Freiburg), Frans Kraetzig (FC Bayern), Ramon Hendriks (Feyenoord Rotterdam) and Stefan Drljaca (Dynamo Dresden). Fabian Rieder, who is on loan from Stade Rennes, is still with the Swiss national team and will meet them in the EM quarterfinals against England on Saturday.

  1. Despite the rumors of Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton's departure from VfB Stuttgart, the buyout clauses in their contracts haven't been triggered yet, as confirmed by Sportboard Fabian Wohlgemuth.
  2. Ermedin Demirovic from FC Augsburg is being considered as a potential replacement for Guirassy at VfB Stuttgart, with Wohlgemuth praising the 26-year-old's understanding of the Bundesliga.
  3. In Baden-Württemberg, Soccer Bundesliga teams VfB Stuttgart and FC Augsburg are making soccer transfers, with Guirassy and Demirovith being at the center of the transfers news.
  4. Borussia Dortmund is reportedly interested in signing both Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton from VfB Stuttgart, adding fuel to the ongoing transfers rumors in the Soccer Bundesliga.
  5. The absence of Serhou Guirassy, Maximilian Mittelstadt, Chris Führich, Deniz Undav, Alexander Nübel, and Enzo Millot from VfB Stuttgart's training camp has left a void in the team, as they prepare for the new Soccer Bundesliga season.
  6. Fabian Wohlgemuth, the Sportchef of VfB Stuttgart, emphasized that the club can only officially comment on transfers when the status is clear, as rumors of player moves circulate ahead of the new Bundesliga season.
