With victory: Motorcycle rider Bagnaia defends his world championship title
Francesco Bagnaia has defended his title in the Motorcycle World Championship. The Italian Ducati rider made everything clear with a victory in the final race of the season on Sunday. His rival Jorge Martín crashed in Valencia and was unable to catch up. The day before, Bagnaia had come under pressure after Martín's success in the sprint. Fabio Di Giannantonio finished in second place, with Johann Zarco completing the podium.
The only German regular rider, Lukas Tulovic, retired from the Moto2 World Championship with an early crash. In future, the rider from Eberbach, who finished 24th in the overall standings, will compete in the MotoE series again. This was announced by the IntactGP racing team.
Bagnaia's victory in Valencia secured his dominance in the MotoGP category, further cementing his Motorsport title as the Motorcycle World Champion. Despite a strong performance from Fabio Di Giannantonio, finishing in second place, Bagnaia's lead in the points was too significant for anyone to challenge, even in the Motorcycle Grand Prix at Valencia.
