Winterscheidt loses presenting job to Schweighöfer

In the show "Wer stiehlt mir die Show?", three celebrities and an ordinary viewer compete to take Joko Winterscheidt's job. Now Matthias Schweighöfer can look forward to his own show.

Winterscheidt loses presenting job to Schweighöfer

Presenter Joko Winterscheidt (44) has lost the final of the sixth season of his ProSieben quiz show "Wer stiehlt mir die Show?" for the first time after two victories - and against his long-time friend Matthias Schweighöfer (42) of all people. The actor is now allowed to design and host the next edition, which will be broadcast on December 3, according to his wishes.

Schweighöfer was the first to collect five points in the final of the episode broadcast on Sunday evening. In the end, he was also able to answer the last question about a Brazilian martial art correctly with "Capoeira".

In the award-winning format, three celebrities and one normal viewer compete to take over Winterscheidt's job as presenter. In the current episodes, Schweighöfer is joined by comedian Hazel Brugger and actor Florian David Fitz.

Filming is currently underway in Berlin for the next season, in which singers Sarah Connor and Lena Meyer-Landrut and presenter Klaas Heufer-Umlauf will try their luck in 2024.

After his loss, Joko Winterscheidt's presenting role on "Wer stiehlt mir die Show?" will be handed over to Matthias Schweighöfer on television. In the upcoming season of the quiz show, several celebrities and a viewer will compete to replace Schweighöfer on the media platform, including Sarah Connor, Lena Meyer-Landrut, and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf.
