Weather - Winter wonderland Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: More snow is coming

The roofs, streets and squares of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern have been covered in white for a few days now. Snow fans can look forward to even more snowfall in the coming days.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), there will be several centimetres of fresh snow on Tuesday. With temperatures between minus 2 and 0 degrees, people are advised to watch out for black ice. The winter and snow clearance service in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will still have work to do on Wednesday. The snowfall is expected to ease slightly, but will continue at temperatures of up to minus 2 degrees. There may also be freezing rain in some areas.

According to the DWD, there will only be a little snowfall in some places on Thursday and it should remain completely free of precipitation on Friday. Meteorologists are not yet able to predict whether people in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can look forward to a white Christmas, as a DWD spokeswoman told the German Press Agency. From Friday onwards, a warming will take place.
