Weather - Winter in NRW with clouds - temperatures around freezing point
The winter weather in North Rhine-Westphalia will continue into the new week. The German Weather Service (DWD) is expecting daytime temperatures of between zero and plus three degrees and variable to heavy cloud cover on Sunday, but initially no snowfall. According to the forecast, skiers, for example, who have been allowed on some slopes in the Sauerland since Friday, will rarely get to see the sun.
However, snowfall is expected to set in on Monday night and cause a risk of slippery roads. Temperatures could then drop to minus five to minus one degree. However, temperatures are expected to rise during the day. In the west, the thermometer will climb to up to three degrees, with the onset of precipitation from the west changing from snow to rain on Tuesday night. Black ice is possible. In the east of the country, however, there will still be light permafrost.
