Basketball Bundesliga - Winger Sidibé leaves Würzburg Baskets
The Würzburg Baskets are losing wing player Amadou Sidibé (29). As the German Basketball League club announced on Monday, the power forward is exercising an exit option in his contract and moving to an undisclosed club in another European country. Würzburg had only signed the Ivory Coast international shortly before the start of the season as a replacement for the injured center Owen Klassen. The contract, which originally ran until the end of November, was recently extended.
"Amadou is an incredibly hard worker and a great guy. He accepted his role with us right from the start, always showed full commitment in training and in games and put himself completely at the service of the team," said manager Kresimir Loncar. "The fact that he has now accepted an offer with more salary and more playing time is absolutely understandable. We wish him all the best."
