Police investigate - Wind turbine in Erfurt deliberately put out of operation

A wind turbine in Erfurt has been deliberately put out of operation. On Tuesday evening, an unknown person forcibly gained access to the inside of the wind turbine between the districts of Waltersleben and Molsdorf and tampered with the technical installation, as the police reported on Wednesday. He switched off the wind turbine and destroyed a communication device. The property damage was estimated at 500 euros. The perpetrator was able to escape, although the police searched for him with several patrol cars and a helicopter. Investigations into the background are ongoing, it was reported.
