Along with tennis ambassador Angelique Kerber, Tatjana Maria and Jule Niemeier will both be taking part in the Bad Homburg grass tennis competition. Maria, who previously reached the Wimbledon semifinals, got a spot in the main draw as a wildcard, while Niemeier, a Dortmund native who lost to Maria in the Wimbledon quarterfinals last year, will enter the tournament via a wildcard for qualification.

This grass tennis event in Bad Homburg, scheduled for June 22nd to 29th, is a part of the preparatory events leading up to the Wimbledon Grand Slam classic in London, which begins on July 1st. It follows the women's grass tournament in Berlin from June 15th to 23rd.

The organizers of the competition revealed that Czech Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova will stand at the top of the seeding list. Unfortunately, the Polish world number one Iga Swiatek is not registered this year, as she was in the previous edition.
