Northwest Mecklenburg - Wild boar on the move - A20 closed
A free-roaming wild boar caused a temporary closure of the highway 20 between Grevesmühlen and Bobitz (district of Nordwestmecklenburg) on Wednesday. According to the highway company, the animal presumably used a gap in the wildlife fence to run onto the road. The NDR had previously reported. The A20 had to be temporarily closed in both directions, according to the police. A hunter was called in. According to NDR, the wild boar was tracked down in the thicket by the fire department using a drone. The animal was shot.
