The authorities in Wiesbaden have taken precautions to safeguard against the increasing water levels on the Rhine and Main rivers. A flood protection barrier was constructed in the Kostheim area, reported by the fire department at the beginning of Sunday morning. A pump has also been set up in the Schierstein district, which adjoins the Rhine.

The fire department also advised against parking near the river in the approaching days. Although it's not anticipated additional actions would be required.
