Bundesliga's Second Division: Sports Update - Wiesbaden positioned for relegation decider: home fans deemed crucial
SV Wehen Wiesbaden, a second division football club, is counting on the support of their home fans in the relegation play-off against SSV Jahn Regensburg. As coach Nils Doering said on Monday, "Our fans' backing from the start will also be crucial on Tuesday. However, we need to impress with our performance and win them over."
Following the 2:2 draw in the first leg in Regensburg, the fate of the team will be determined on Tuesday at 8:30 pm (Sat.1 and Sky). SV Wehen must now decide whether they will continue playing in the 2. Bundesliga or if the Bavarian third division club will be promoted. Coach Doering believes they are in a strong position. "With this result, we've given ourselves a good chance," he added. Doering will be back on the bench as well, having served a suspension during the 2:2.
