Wiebe leaves second division club Eintracht Braunschweig

Danilo Wiebe's contract will not be extended. After five years at Eintracht, something new awaits the midfielder.

2nd league - Wiebe leaves second division club Eintracht Braunschweig

Eintracht Braunschweig has ended its cooperation with midfielder Danilo Wiebe. The second-tier football club announced this on Wednesday. The contract of the 30-year-old will not be extended beyond its current term at Eintracht.

"Danilo's merits for our Eintracht are undisputed. Nevertheless, in the past few weeks, we have analyzed his situation together with him and have ultimately come to the conclusion that our paths will separate this summer," said Eintracht-Sportdirektor Benjamin Kessel.

Wiebe joined Eintracht in the summer of 2019 from SC Preußen Münster and played in a total of 116 official matches for the club. During this time, he scored four goals and provided nine assists.
