Title champions Clemens Wickler and Nils Ehlers are set to participate in the German Beach Volleyball Championship this weekend in Timmendorfer Strand. Ehlers, the specialized blocker, chimed in with a grin at the "Sport-Bild-Awards" event in Hamburg's Fischauktionshalle, stating, "We're rolling!"

At 30 years old, Ehlers sustained an injury to his left ankle during a defensive play at the premier tournament in Hamburg the previous week. Despite this setback, the silver medalists from the Paris Olympics secured a victory in their initial match at Rothenbaum. Unfortunately, they had to withdraw from the tournament afterwards.

Ehlers remains optimistic. "We're on the right track," he reassured, eyeing his medical evaluations. "The MRI results were incredibly promising." The main focus now is to alleviate the swelling in the joint before the DM begins. Their goal is to resume ball training as soon as possible.

This weekend, Clemens Wickler and Nils Ehlers, the title champions, will continue their journey at the German Beach Volleyball Championship in Timmendorfer Strand. Ehlers, who is recovering from an injury, remains hopeful that they can resume full training before the weekend's competition.
