Why Israel wants to bury the cars of terror victims

Not all the bodies of the victims of October 7 have been found. And some will probably never reappear. In order to give the relatives a way of saying goodbye to their loved ones, Israel is considering an unusual ceremony ...

For thefirst time since the founding of the state ,Israelwants to bury the AUTOS of those murdered. This is reported by the "Jerusalem Post". There is a sad reason behind this: according to the organization Zaka, which provides aid after attacks, there are no mortal remains or body parts of many of those killed.

In the course of the investigations following the barbaric Hamas attack, Zaka came to the shocking conclusion, according to a report by the N12 radio station, that not all the remains of victims who were slaughtered in their vehicles could be located or cleaned.

A large proportion of the victims' cars have bloodstains or ashes that are difficult or impossible to recover. It was therefore decided to bury the cars as a whole in order to preserve the peace of the dead as best as possible. The report said: "After consultation with the military rabbinate and the Chief Rabbinate, hundreds of vehicles will be buried throughout Israel in the coming days."

Israel Hasid, a spokesman for Zaka Tel Aviv, pointed out that the final decision would have to be made by either the Chief Rabbinate or the Ministry of Religious Services. This is expected to happen in the coming days and will then be announced publicly.

Hasid explained that for the burial of the vehicles, they would be placed in a designated pit, "similar to the way major tragedies are handled with significant finds". According to the Halacha (Jewish commandments), ashes and blood remains are sacred. They must be buried, but they are not necessarily buried in a cemetery with the deceased.

For the families of the victims, this measure is intended to bring closure to the terrible events. Israel Hasid: "We believe that the creation of a unique memorial will bring comfort to some grieving families who are unsure of the whereabouts of their loved ones. The families are highly supportive of this initiative and are aware that they will find a final resting place for the ashes or blood of their loved ones in this way."

  1. The decision to bury the cars of terror victims in Israel was made due to the difficulties in recovering bloodstains or ashes from the vehicles after the Hamas terrorist attack, as reported by Zaka.
  2. In accordance with Jewish commandments, the ashes and blood remains from the cars will be treated as sacred and buried, but not necessarily in a cemetery with the deceased, as stated by Israel Hasid from Zaka Tel Aviv.
  3. The news of Israel wanting to bury the cars of terror victims abroad was met with support from the families of the victims, who saw it as a way to bring closure and find a final resting place for their loved ones' remains, as explained by Hasid.
