Ebersberg - Wheel nuts of rescue vehicle willfully loosened
According to the police, the wheel nuts on both rear wheels of an ambulance in Upper Bavaria were deliberately loosened. The vehicle lost the left rear tire in Ebersberg on Sunday night and the crew called the police. The ambulance came to a standstill without an accident. According to the police, officers discovered that the wheel nuts had been tampered with.
The vehicle was on its way back from an operation. There was no patient on board, said a police spokesman. Criminal proceedings were initiated against unknown persons for dangerous interference with road traffic and criminal damage to property.
The ambulance was reportedly parked in Zorneding (Ebersberg district) at around 02:00. This may have been the scene of the crime. The police are asking for witnesses.
