According to Nostradamus' 1555 text "Les Propheties" (The Prophecies), 2024 will bring royal unrest. A "king of the islands" would be "expelled by force". Some believe that Nostradamus was referring to King Charles III, who had succeeded his mother, Queen Elizabeth, on the throne after her death. Although Charles is doing well in his new role, the royal family is still reeling from the turmoil surrounding Prince Harry and his wife Meghan. British author and Nostradamus commentator Mario Reading reads from the scriptures that Charles III will abdicate due to "continued attacks on himself and his second wife". There is also talk of continuing global unrest, including war on the seas and humanitarian disasters. When it comes to "fighting and sea battles", many people think of the tensions between China and Taiwan. It seems fitting that Nostradamus speaks of a "red adversary" who will "turn pale with fear and terrify the great ocean".
The consequences of the climate crisis have become increasingly clear in recent years with record temperatures, deadly floods and terrible droughts. According to the experts, Nostradamus predicts that things will get even worse. "The dry earth will become even more parched and there will be great floods when you see them," he wrote. The extreme weather events will result in a "very large famine caused by a wave of plague".
Statements can also be found for the Ukraine war and the situation in Russia. According to this, the Russian leadership will have to face very special challenges in the new year. Nostradamus' verses speak of "dancing with destiny". President Vladimir Putin is standing for re-election in March, and if this happens, he could remain in power until 2036.
