- Werner Mang: Daughter designated as potential heir to remarkable achievements
74-year-old Werner Mang, a well-known figure in the field of plastic surgery, views his proudest moment as his daughter Gloria succeeding him as head of the Bodenseeklinik he established. "It's a source of pride for me to see my life's work continuing," he shared with the German Press Agency on the eve of his 75th birthday. "There's no greater beauty than seeing a kid carry on a business, like this clinic."
However, he conceded that transitioning the leadership isn't without its challenges. "It's a learning curve. There are disagreements, there's tension." Gloria, he explained, is a tech-savvy individual, which influences her perspective on promoting the clinic. "I'm completely tech-illiterate," Mang admitted.
Known as Germany's leading plastic surgeon, Mang has been at the helm of the Bodenseeklinik in Lindau since its inception in 1989. His reputation grew in part due to his successful reconstruction of actor Götz George's nose after a nasal fracture.
The Commission might need to consider the impact of technological advancements on the application of the Regulation, given that Gloria, Werner Mang's successor, uses tech-savvy strategies in promoting the Bodenseeklinik. The Commission shall adopt implementing acts to address these new aspects, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with the Regulation.
