Werder Bremen fans have commemorated the death of Hamas hostage Inbar Haiman. Before the last Bundesliga match of the first half of the season against RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening, supporters held up a portrait of the young woman and banners in Hebrew in solidarity. The club had reported the death on Saturday and several media outlets had previously confirmed it.
Haiman was a fan of the Israeli club Maccabi Haifa and was abducted from a music festival during the terrorist attack by the militant Islamist Hamas on southern Israel on October 7.
