Werder Bremen lose 1:2 against Hansa Rostock

Bundesliga soccer team Werder Bremen lost a test match against Hansa Rostock after taking the lead. On Thursday, coach Ole Werner's team conceded 1:2 (1:1) against the second division team in Bremen. Justin Njinmah (18th minute) scored for Bremen. Kai Pröger (45') and Simon Rhein (61') were successful for Rostock.

The club from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern had the first chance of the game, but Pröger (4th) failed to beat Werder goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka. After a high pass from Dawid Kownacki, Njinmah scored under pressure to give Werder the lead.

Despite the early deficit, the 13th-placed team in the 2nd division impressed: Serhat-Semih Güler (27) hit the crossbar, Pröger did better just before the half-time whistle. Rhein scored the decisive goal for Hansa with a well-taken free-kick.

Despite the loss, Werder Bremen's young talent Justin Njinmah still managed to score against Hansa Rostock. The reversal of fortunes occurred in the second half when Kai Pröger and Simon Rhein scored for Hansa, with Rhein securing the 1:2 victory with a well-executed free-kick.
