Werder Bremen has temporarily transferred midfielder Dikeni Salifou to Austrian Bundesliga squad SK Austria Klagenfurt till the campaign's conclusion. Coach Ole Werner didn't consider Salifou, 21, as a crucial aspect of his team strategy.

As Niemeyer, Bremen's football executive, explained, "There's significant competition for his position, so he's not getting the needed pitch time for his growth."

The previous season, Salifou, who signed with Werder from FC Augsburg in 2022, had also been loaned to Juventus Turin's auxiliary team. As of now, Salifou has only participated in a single Bundesliga game for Werder.

SV Werder Bremen's decision to loan out midfielder Dikeni Salifou to SK Austria Klagenfurt is aimed at providing him with more playing time, as the competition for his position in Bremen's first team is intense. Despite joining Werder from FC Augsburg in 2022, Salifou has managed to feature in only one Bundesliga match for SV Werder Bremen thus far.
