Welding work: Man with life-threatening injuries
A man in Middle Franconia has suffered life-threatening burns in a workshop fire. As the police announced on Monday, the 26-year-old was carrying out welding work on a car in Simmelsdorf (district of Nürnberger Land) on Saturday when a deflagration possibly occurred. According to a police spokesperson on Monday, the man's life is still in danger and he is being treated in a specialist clinic.
Another man, aged 26, sustained minor injuries, while an 18-year-old was unharmed. The damage is estimated at around 50,000 euros. The criminal investigation department has started the investigation.
