- Wehen Wiesbaden wins home game opener

Football third-division side SV Wehen Wiesbaden celebrated their first home win of the season. The Hesse team won 1:0 (1:0) against FC Hansa Rostock on Saturday and remained unbeaten after a draw in Verl. With four points, the relegated second-division team has had a successful start to the season. The goal was scored by Moritz Flotho in the 30th minute.

From the start, it was an evenly matched game at the well-attended Brita-Arena. Both teams tried to gain control of the game, but there was little danger in front of the goals until the first goal. This changed after the Hesse team took the lead. Shortly afterwards, Nils Fröling (37/39) had two chances to equalize for the Hanseatics but failed.

After the restart, the game developed into an entertaining one, but without any high-quality chances. Rostock played more offensively but lacked precision in their finishing. The hosts, with Felix Luckeneder making his starting debut in central defense, skilfully managed their narrow lead in the hot summer temperatures and celebrated the three points at the end.

In the exciting match at the Brita-Arena, FC Hansa Rostock struggled to find their scoring touch, despite playing more offensively. Despite being a Soccer fan, you might have been disappointed if you were rooting for Rostock as they missed several opportunities to level the score.
