European Union - Wegner votes in the European elections.
Berlin's Mayor, Kai Wegner from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), has cast his ballot in the European election. He headed to a polling station at an elementary school in Berlin-Spandau on Sunday morning.
"I truly hope that a lot of Berliners and residents will go out and vote, sending a strong message for democracy, liberty, and unity, instead of division," Wegner shared with dpa on Sunday.
Around 2.5 million Berliners and residents are expected to participate in the European election. Polling stations have been operational since 8:00 am, and they will close at 6:00 pm.
