Latest releases in theaters - Weekly movie releases feature both action and western genres.
Will Smith is making a return to the big screen with a new action film. For those who enjoy nature, history, and westerns, the movie "King's Land" is the perfect choice.
Mads Mikkelsen can be seen as a lone cowboy in the Danish Western "King's Land" set in the 18th century. The soldier Ludvig Kahlen (Mikkelsen) aims to turn the barren heathlands in Jutland into fertile land.
Countless attempts have been made in the past to do this on behalf of the king, but none have succeeded. Kahlen's condition is that if he manages to achieve this, he wants to be awarded a noble title. Upon arrival, he meets the conniving landowner Frederik De Schinkel, who tries to drive Kahlen away from the land using underhanded tactics. Despite these obstacles, Kahlen remains unwavering in his determination to take on both the tricky landowner and the unrelenting nature.
Will Smith's comeback to the cinema comes after his slap incident at the Oscars 2022. In "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," he reprises his role as a narcotics officer at the Miami Police Department alongside Martin Lawrence. The first installment of the action film series featuring Smith and Lawrence as the police duo Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett was released in 1995 ("Bad Boys - Hard Boys"). Two more films followed in 2003 and 2020. In "Ride or Die," the duo find themselves embroiled in a corruption scandal before stumbling upon a conspiracy and being forced to flee. "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" will hit German cinemas from June 5.
