Current Climate Conditions - Weekend weather forecast: Rain and thunderstorms in store
During Corpus Christi and the conclusion of Pentecost celebrations in Bavaria, residents in various areas across the state should be on the lookout for rain and thunderstorms. The German Weather Service (DWD) predicts thunderstorms with heavy rain and fierce winds of up to 70 kilometers per hour in certain areas on Thursday. Hailstorms with small grains might also make an appearance.
On Whit Sunday, DWD forecasts temperatures as high as 19 degrees with plentiful clouds, showers, and the occasional thunderstorm. Southern Bavaria could experience prolonged rainfall.
From Friday to Sunday, as per the meteorologists at the Weather Service in the Free State, torrential downpours could range from 60 to 120 liters per square meter in some regions, while other places may see as much as 150 liters per square meter. This could result in flooding or waterlogging. The Bavarian Flood Warning Service has not yet issued any alerts, though.

Despite the upcoming Corpus Christi celebrations in Munich, Bavaria, the weather is expected to be unfavorable, with rain and potential thunderstorms. Visitors and residents should be prepared for rain showers and possible hailstorms during parts of the weekend. Unfortunately, the rainfall could lead to flooding or waterlogging in certain regions of the state. Interestingly, despite these weather conditions, the Bavarian Flood Warning Service has not yet issued any alerts.
