Heavy rain is threatening in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania during the night. Up to 60 liters per square meter could fall in six hours, according to the German Weather Service.

The German Weather Service (DWD) warns in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on Sunday night of thunderstorms and heavy rain. Starting from the second half of the night from the southwest, widespread rain with occasional thunderstorms of moderate to strong intensity will occur, the DWD announced on Saturday afternoon. Within a few hours, between 20 and 35 liters of rain per square meter could fall. In Mecklenburg, it could locally rain 60 liters per square meter in six hours. The thunderstorms will be accompanied by gales with a strength of up to 75 kilometers per hour or 9 Beaufort. Hail is also not excluded.
