Weather - Weather service predicts rain and snow: danger of slippery roads
Snow, sleet and icy conditions are to be expected in parts of Hesse on Tuesday. The German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach reported that there would be intermittent precipitation in the morning and later in the day, which could lead to a risk of black ice in the mountains. In the evening it will snow, especially in the mountains, otherwise rain or sleet will fall - it may become icy again. According to the forecast, it will be milder with three degrees in the north and six degrees in the south, while it will remain at zero degrees in the summits.
At night, there will be further precipitation in some areas, with the possibility of snow down to low altitudes. There is a local risk of freezing drizzle, according to the DWD.
