Extremism - Weapons seized from Reichsbürger in the district of Giessen
According to police reports, the weapons authority of the district of Giessen has seized weapons from a Reichsbürger in Pohlheim (district of Giessen). They were supported in the measures by officers from the Central Hesse police headquarters and the special commando of the Hesse police headquarters, as the authorities announced on Wednesday.
According to the information, the officers carried out a house search on Tuesday following a court order from the Gießen Administrative Court. They found and seized various firearms, knives and ammunition at the home of the Reichsbürger and on the premises of a shooting club. The man from the Reichsbürger scene was said to have cooperated with all measures. The weapons authority reportedly revoked the man's firearms license and imposed a ban on possessing weapons for the future. This will also prevent access to the weapons of the shooting club on whose board the man is active.
