Police in southern Hesse have taken a suspected arms and drug dealer into custody. The 41-year-old is suspected of having sold weapons of war to organized crime gangs in Germany together with his previously arrested brother, the public prosecutor's office in Frankfurt and the police headquarters in Darmstadt announced on Wednesday. He is also alleged to have dealt in cannabis and other drugs. According to the information, he had presumably been on the run since October and was arrested in Seeheim-Jugenheim on Tuesday. He had tried in vain to escape on a bicycle.
